Sheikh! Perhaps the meaning of the question that the brother asked was not clear. In fact, here in Pakistan, some people catch free sparrows by setting nets and then stand on the roadside and sell these sparrows, and people buy and free these sparrows for charity. So is doing this a reward as the sparrows were captured wrongly? And should not these sparrows be free??

Buying birds and releasing them is basicly a death sentence as birds love in heads and can't live in the open as they don't know how to find food or find shelter heck they are more exposed to denger how ever poaching wild birds that are capable on Thier own is terrible

So basically depriving an animal of what Allah has give him that is freedom (and I’m not talking about cats) is not torture and is taking care of them? Are we for real? This is not kindness towards the creatures of Allah. May Allah guide us wallahy. Just because you give him food and water does not mean you take care of it. Plus sorry but he advised to the guy to not give opinions and at the end he said “i think personally blablabla”.

A narrow answer. Was it permissible to catch that pretty bird and take it away from its community? How much did that bird suffer before a person bought it and caged it??? By buying such birds you are encouraging a cruel industry. How is this permissible?
